Weekly Horoscope for the Week of November 12-18
As I warned you last week, the focus now is on the powerful New Moon coming on Tuesday, which incidentally will eclipse the Sun. By definition, eclipses bring dramatic and sudden changes and we better get in line with the changes by acting on the area of our life that needs a (long awaited) overhaul. Look for surprises from the left field in your health, finances and love life.
If this week's celestial events make you feel like it’s turning you inside out, rather than curl up into a ball, take refuge in the tried and true. Here are some mantras for this week. Pick one, I beg you!
What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
Without darkness we’d have no perspective on the light.
It’s all part of life.
On November 13, the New Moon and Solar eclipse happens in the sign of Scorpio
All solar eclipses mark an especially dramatic and important beginning. Use this time to make a fresh start and put everything you've got into furthering your goals and dreams. As you invest in your future, let go of anything that isn't working or has outlived its usefulness, whether it's an attitude or life situation that no longer fits who you are today. No sign is more intense and driven than Scorpio ... and few signs hold as many secrets. You won't be able to hide details of your life until now kept hidden as this eclipse shines a big spotlight on just that. For the most positive results, allow Scorpio's considerable passion and strength to inspire you to devote time and energy to anything you want to see become more important in your life. At the full Moon later this month, you'll have a chance to stand back and see what you've accomplished!
To make things a little more stressful, on November 13: Retrograde Mercury re-enters Scorpio
On October 5, Mercury, the communication planet, entered intense Scorpio. Then last week, on November 6, Mercury turned retrograde in Sagittarius. Now, retrograde Mercury slips back into Scorpio, and you return to old conversations, ideas from the recent past and communication breakdowns that need to be resolved. You won't be able to move forward with your plans until the past is addressed. Information is available, but you'll have to dig around to find it. If you need help, enlist the support of others with insight that could help you. Most of all, don't make rash decisions based on deep feeling and little information. Once Mercury turns direct on November 26, you'll have all the information you need to move forward.
On November 15 Saturn quincunxes Uranus (the powerful Non-aspect I told you about, the "anything is possible" wild card of a situation appearing out of the blue...)
Something's got to give! No matter how strong and powerful you are, you can't control people who refuse to be controlled. Although you may be tempted to clamp down and enforce your rules, you can't stop the changes occurring all around you. Life always has a few curve balls for you, and the more you pay attention and work with - rather than against - change, the better off you'll ultimately be. Keep a level head today and you'll make good decisions! No decisions at all on a day like this would be even better!
On November 16 Mars enters Capricorn giving us all the discipline, resourcefulness and strength to pursue our dreams and goals
Don't delay, though, since next week Mars will tangle with the Uranus-Pluto square, an aspect that's sure to create a few bumps in the road. This week, make a to-do list and get going on it! If you commit to your plan and make any necessary tweaks and changes between now and November 26 (when Mercury turns direct), you'll get a great deal of things done!
Prepare for next week's Solar transit into Sagittarius and happier times ahead. Log into your Weekly Horoscopes next week for a detailed synopsis of this new and exciting transit.
Of course, this only scratches the surface of what's to come!

Until then, as I usually say, live, love and learn.
Here are my insights on what is in store for each sign this week.
ARIES
Tuesday’s solar eclipse in scintillating Scorpio illuminates (or overshadows) your eight house of money, power and transfromation, so sudden developments in those sectors will startle you...just a bit. There is so much kundalini energy in and around you, you may not see events comming. But you will certainly (re)act powerfully. So surrender to the feelings, even if you don’t necessarily act upon them. Getting in touch with what makes you feel energized and live, let the creative muse flowing and you might spend the rest of the week obsessively working on a musical or artistic project. Your urge to merge could be stronger under the eclipse, and a two-person venture/partnership/affair could become a sealed deal, faster than you expected. Solar eclipses bring sudden opportunities, but the timeframe for capitalizing on them is also short. You’ll be forced to act fast, which isn’t usually a problem for your "doer" energy.
TAURUS
Partnership possibilities could come out of the blue this week or... disappear as fast, thanks to Tuesday’s solar eclipse in Scorpio and your seventh house of "duos". Solar eclipses occur during a new moon, bringing new beginnings in an exciting blaze of glory. These joint venture possibilities may have been hidden in the shadows for a while, only to be illuminated by the energy of Tuesday’s solar eclipse. This eclipse is the first in a series that will be touching on the Scorpio-Taurus axis for the next two years, so get ready for an exciting, yet sometimes bumpy ride. Whether for business or pleasure, the rule of opposites attract applies heavily. The eclipse-Mercury retrograde combo also provides an opportunity for you to get clear about what you want in a partner. You may have some illuminating insights this week, and finally break free of a pattern that’s been haunting you for years, possibly a lifetime.
GEMINI
On Tuesday, a solar eclipse in Scorpio electrifies your sixth house of health, efficiency and routines, bringing a big, bright opening for your career. Eclipses reveal shadows, and in Scorpio, it will potentially reveal unseen opportunities to make a name for yourself and scoot on up the ladder of success. You might even discover the job of your dreams was hiding right under your watchful eyes. Don’t be surprised if the week ends with you making a happy move to a position that is a far better fit for your talents. Mercury retrograde moves back into Scorpio and your sixth house, too. People you worked with in the past could reappear on the scene, becoming noteworthy players in this week’s saga. A nagging health issue should no longer be ignored, especially if it’s one that has bothered you chronically. Instead of diagnosing with Dr. Google, call up someone who’s completed med school...and get this under control.
CANCER
On Tuesday, a solar eclipse in Scorpio energizes your amorous, glamorous fifth house. A new opening for love could come like a bolt from the blue. If you’re already in a relationship, you could find yourself awash in feelings for the one you’re with. These could span the range from awe to anger, but whatever you’ve bottled up will come rushing out, ready to be dealt with squarely once and for all. Sharing your true feelings, for better or for worse, is the only way a relationship can remain authentic. Stop being polite and start getting real.
Wednesday, Mercury retrograde slips back into Scorpio and your fifth house, moving in reverse through that part of your chart until resuming forward motion on November 26. Your communications with people could become heated and dramatic, so you’ll definitely have to choose your words carefully. Old flirtations may spark up again. It ain’t over till it’s over, Cancer
LEO
On Tuesday, a solar eclipse in Scorpio brings a jolt to your domestic sector, prompting you to get into action around any stalled household projects or family-related plans. If you’ve been in the market for a move, this eclipse could speed up the process, prompting you to switch real estate agents or surf the rental listings with greater intensity. Eclipses illuminate shadows, bringing to light the things we don’t necessarily want to look at…even if they are the things that are in our best interest to examine. Or, if you’ve been overlooking the obvious, you could have a total “Aha!” moment this week as you realize what’s been sitting right under your nose all this time. Better late than never, Leo, so don’t waste time berating yourself; just get in gear with these home-related revelations. There’s one wrench in the works, however: Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio and your fourth house on Wednesday, until turning direct on November 26. Mercury retrogrades are less-than-ideal times for signing contracts, and information tends to get scrambled during these phases. If you’re shopping in earnest for a new place to live, use the next two weeks for researching neighbourhoods but if possible, wait until the 26th to sign the lease or go ahead with your plans.
VIRGO
Tuesday’s solar eclipse in Scorpio, sending a jolt to your third house of communication and comrades. A new chapter in your social life has officially begun and it might happen so fast you won’t even have time to review ...or nitpick everything and everyone:). What a relief! You won’t have to play the role of the entertainer, you can kick back and “just be,” enjoying lively conversation and comfortable silence in equal measure. One of your existing acquaintances could be upgraded in status, becoming an official collaborator and the other half of a dynamic duo. While this is likely to be more of a platonic connection than a romantic one, there will be lots of creative chemistry afoot. People from your past will also play a starring role in the week as Mercury (which is retrograde from November 6-26) scoots back into Scorpio and your third house this Wednesday. Don’t be surprised if an old pal pings you out of the blue. You might even get a text from an ex, or someone you dated briefly, but never quite got the romance off the ground. While time heals all wounds, don’t reopen these doors unless you’re sure the connection is as “safe and non-toxic”
LIBRA
Brace yourself for an out of the blue development in your second house of money and resources Libra. Your financial situation has been carefully kept under wraps (and in secret!) for a long while now. A chronic mishandling of money OR the way you make money can put you in a hot spot suddenly and however averse you Libras are to conflict and upheaval, you may have to face the music. The potential for a breakthrough exists and it will become visible under the light of the eclipse, but the "bleeding" of funds could become equally obvious. Time to face it and change it...as much as you can. With Mercury the Messenger moving backwards in Scorpio, the same house of money and resources, your task is to contain the damage and pronto. Look for the cause of this "money mayhem": is it overspending? Then put off visits to the boutiques until such time as all your bills are paid and cash flows better. Did you undertake financial burdens heavier than you can handle to maintain the peace in the family or a status quo that has become toxic instead of rewarding? Look at that too, with courage and envisage the changes needed to bring you back on track. The good thing about eclipses is that their intensity subsides quickly...and so does the opportunity they bring along.
SCORPIO
Tuesday arrives with a solar eclipse in Scorpio, rocketing you into orbit and sending one of your personal ideas into the stratosphere. If Saturn’s move into your sign on October 5 didn’t bring the fresh start you were hoping for, this eclipse could mark your lift-off date. Eclipses tend to speed up results and illuminate that which is hidden in the shadows. You might just see the perfect opening for your ascent, one that was sitting undetected under your nose for quite some time. This eclipse is the first in a two-year series that will touch on the Scorpio-Taurus axis, evoking changes and developments in both the personal and partnership realms. No more sitting on the fence when it comes to going after your dreams. You’ll be catapulted forward into growth this week, but you’ll also be required to let go of that which no longer serves you. Out with the old, in with the new. There’s no turning back, or even looking back nostalgically, when you decide to barrel forward now.
SAGITTARIUS
On Tuesday, the solar eclipse and the New Moon will illuminate your 12 house of secrets, of endings and new beginnings, bringing to light unseen patterns you have been holding you back from transformation and evolution. I will not be surprised if a flash of instant epiphany will not propell a cascading instances of understanding yourself and others in a more profound and realistic way. This eclipse is not about facts, Sagittarius but it is about processing deeply hidden motives and patterns that have been keeping you in an unhealthy frame of mind for a long time.
A veil will be lifted off your inner vision courtesy of the eclipse and you will become a better person because of it. It ain't nothing like wisdom and understanding. With Mercury retrograding in Scorpio as well on Wednesday, you will be better suited to HOLD the truth rather than SPEAK it. You are known for blunt (and insensitive at times) stances, hold these ones for just a little bit longer. Maybe the hidden message of this Mercury retrograde falling on the eclipse in your 12th house is becoming kinder with your words. They create reality, so, be careful how your words can affect others.
CAPRICORN
Tuesday’s new moon in Scorpio and your eleventh house of groups also happens to be a solar eclipse. Unforeseen opportunities appear, as eclipses are known for revealing the hidden aspects of a situation. If you've been uncertain about fitting in with a group of friends or crew at work, the eclipse could reshuffle the decks in your social/ group life, landing you among a totally different entourage. You don’t necessarily have to leave one community to join another, just reconsider allegencies. The eclipse could also bring a sudden expansion, allowing you to widen the radius of your inner circle. Network, network, network. On Wednesday, social Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio, where it will remain until turning direct on November 26. Since retrogrades stir up the past, the Mercury-eclipse combo could reunite you with a group you’d strayed from or help you to seamlessly bring together your tried-and-true crew with your evolving posse of new friends. It’s a great week to plan a reunion, perhaps getting your old pals together for brunch?
AQUARIUS
Tuesday arrives with an energizing solar eclipse in Scorpio and your ambitious tenth house. You’ve been getting cosmic hit after hit in your career sector since early October when a succession of planets began moving through Scorpio. This eclipse is like a shot of adrenaline fuel, propelling you to get out of the armchair and into action. Eclipses literally and figuratively reveal shadows. Hidden prospects for prosperity may come into view, but you must act fast during an eclipse as the window of opportunity can be quite short. It is also possible that the lights may become temporarily dimmed on an opportunity you’ve been fixating on, but don’t stress. This only forces you to look in another, even more promising, direction. You might have overlooked that obvious goldmine if not for the eclipse.
Mercury is also retrograding back in Scorpio and on the downside, it could stir up tension with a few colleagues, particularly the male ones. Your issues with authority could put some wrenches in your wheels, so tone it down. Don’t be a rebel without a cause, Aquarius.
In your exhillariating drive to change everything for the better in your world, you are neglecting the crucial questions: is this REALLY what I should be doing that will bring more sense to my life? Is my ambition going to get me in hot waters? Time to slow down and think.
PISCES
Tuesday’s solar eclipse in Scorpio may bring an out-of-the-blue travel opportunity, one that requires you to cross borders to distant lands. This eclipse is the first in a series on the Scorpio-Taurus axis that will last for the next two years. While weighty Saturn is keeping you closer to home than you’d prefer, these eclipses will send you on fantastic voyages every six months. They may be permanent relocations or quick little jaunts, but whatever the case, they will bring a measure of excitement to your life. The first of these eclipse-related journeys comes this week, perhaps literally or figuratively. If you buy a ticket, make sure you get one for a family member or someone from your inner circle. Scorpio is the ruler of your expansive, adventurous and philosophical ninth house. Since this is a solar eclipse, and thus arrives with a new moon, it will evoke a fresh start or a heretofore unseen opening to break beyond your perceived limits. For some Pisces, this eclipse may herald an opportunity to study alongside an amazing teacher, or the inspiration to give your entrepreneurial dreams the attention they deserve. Who knows? You may finally get that consulting business off the ground or get serious about opening that vintage clothing boutique. You’ll be feeling mighty fortunate near this eclipse, and will have the courage to act independently, without opinion-polling everyone before hand. Independent thinking is your mantra.
Until next week, live, love and learn!
