WEEK of August 27- September 2,2012
This week's planetary positions at a glance:
The Sun is in Virgo Our focus shifts to the pieces of the puzzle--the little details of our lives. It is now time to take care of practical concerns. Tending to the details of everyday life may not sound like loads of fun, but it can certainly free us from unnecessary stress that results from "collecting" odds and ends of unfinished business.
Mercury is in Leo until August 31st, when it enters Virgo When Mercury is in Leo, our thinking is more confident and grand. The focus is now on the goal--and the more grand a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now. We are more expressive, also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write.
When Mercury is in Virgo, precision in speech, thought, and process is now important to us. This is a time when we analyze and decide what is useful and what we deem to be impractical. Mercury feels right at home in Virgo, one of the signs that it rules. Dealing with details is natural and easy now. We need to be careful that we don't lose perspective if we find ourselves lost in details.
Venus is in Cancer In Cancer, Venus is nurturing, protective and self-protective, cautious, and fertile. We experience many emotional ups and downs in love under this influence due to increased sensitivity and impressionability. We are tender, romantic, and attached. Venus forms some mild but difficult aspects this week, first on Wednesday and Thursday, with Chiron, in which we may feel inhibited likely due to fear about expressing our affection; and second on Friday, with a semi-square to the Sun, when we might feel overlooked or less than appreciated, although it may be due to over-sensitivity.
Mars is in Scorpio Mars is driven and focused on getting what it wants. We are persevering, single-minded, and strong. The desire to experience our emotional depths, as well as the urge to penetrate the surface of life in order to explore deeper levels of existence, is powerful.
Jupiter continues its journey in Gemini; Saturn, the Stern Teacher transits the last degrees of gentle Libra and life on Planet Earth could not be more interesting.
This week, for all of you Astrology enthusiasts, I prepared a different kind of Weekly Horoscope. I am focusing on the day by day major planetary transits emphasizing the daily trend and how it affects just about everyone. Have a good read and see you next week with yet another round of cosmic wonders and mischief.

August 26
Mars trines Neptune early this morning. We act on our intuition now, fantasies are strong, we strive towards all that is boundless and our creative impulses are potent. We are less tense and driven (the weekend was quite a roller coaster) and more relaxed. "Que sera sera" is the mantra of the day under this influence. Inspiration can be found however in bl4ending creatively artistic and sports endeavours like: dancing, swimming, photography, arts, and entertainment. The Moon leaves Sagittarius at 9:59 AM EDT, when it enters Capricorn. The Moon's trine to the Sun is a potentially productive one, but its real strength is its ability to stimulate cooperation.
A void of course Moon occurs from 2:40 AM EDT, with the Moon's last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 9:59 AM EDT.
August27
The Moon is in industrious, capable Capricorn all day. With the Moon in Capricorn, our feelings are expressed reservedly and sparingly. We don't want to expose ourselves to the feeling of being vulnerable. Our sense of responsibility is stronger than usual, and we aim for efficiency in most areas of life now. Our view of life in general is realistic. Nevertheless, our thinking may be skewed towards the negative this afternoon with Mercury in hard aspect to Pluto, which can stimulate some level of mistrust or suspicion. We might put pressure on ourselves on a mental level. However, if we harness the energy, we can develop strategies to get to the bottom of any matter. We can use it to our advantage by applying ourselves more rigorously to our work.
August28
Mercury sesquiquadrate Uranus early morning can stimulate flashes of insight, but we tend to be scatterbrained and disorganized under this influence. Irritability, sarcastic speech, and dogmatism are negative expressions of this energy. The Moon leaves Capricorn at 1:39 PM EDT, when it enters Aquarius. Under the influence of an Aquarius Moon, we are attracted to the unusual, extraordinary, and unconventional. Independence, equality, and freedom are vital to feeling emotionally satisfied with this position of the Moon. Sticking to a schedule is not especially easy under this influence, particularly in the hours surrounding the Moon's square to Mars at 7:38 PM, when impatience can be costly.
A void of course Moon occurs from 6:34 AM EDT, with the Moon's last aspect before changing signs (a square to Saturn), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 1:39 PM EDT.
August29
Sun trine Pluto. We are able to get to the bottom of things now. We are more decisive than usual, and our abilities to concentrate and focus help us achieve what we set out to do. Endurance, the power to achieve, an opportunity to draw upon our past and to capitalize on resources, and strategy are all themes of this influence. This is a very positive aspect for starting a money-making endeavour (all things equal) or a new project. Leadership skills are in focus and strong. We are more able to connect with others in terms of shared goals and interests.
August30
Sun opposition Chiron. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong, but may be hampered by a lack of confidence or a fear of being different. We may not be seeing eye to eye with others, and lack of faith in our own decisions is likely as well. We might also be so concerned with keeping others happy that we are afraid to assert our own desires.
Venus sesquiquadrate Chiron. Blocks to intimacy are possible now as we focus on differences rather than similarities in our relationships with others. We might have a hard time learning from one another as a result.
A void of course Moon occurs from 1:49 PM EDT, with the Moon's last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mercury), until the Moon enters Pisces at 6:32 PM EDT.
August 31
Friday morning, the Full Moon occurs in Pisces, opposite the Virgo Sun at 9:58 AM EST/6:58 AM PST.
The Virgo-Pisces polarity is the service axis, and it deals with the balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces). Virgo rules our personal set of tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules our tools that we use to deal with our spirituality. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs, while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire--we would either be living in chaos or in excessive order.
The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfilment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time--a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
September 1
A void of course Moon occurs from 4:03 PM EDT, with the Moon's last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Aries tomorrow, Sunday, September 2nd, at 1:38 AM EDT.
We are not inclined to want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favours the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water. And when it slips into Aries, we can feel a surge of "get-go" energy allowing us to step up the everyday Ferris wheel with gusto.
Have a good week everyone and make the best of every day!
