New Year - New You, How Will 2013 Unfold for Each Sign
The Stars and Transits this Week
After an interesting, quite stressful yet illuminating few weeks, we said good bye to an astrologically eventful year and greeted the new year with renewed hope in a future we are destined to create without (hopefully!) repeating the mistakes of the past. The controversy surrounding the 21st of December acted mostly as a warning for humanity to reach deep into a wellspring of wisdom, re-evaluate priorities and become more broadminded and aware of the true issues facing humanity in general. The tunnel vision was forced out, a humanitarian vision entered the scene. At least, we hope it did. People and nations who do not learn from the mistakes of the past are bound to repeat them. Good thought to keep in the forefront of our minds for this year that just started.
We start this week, the second week of the new year with a question hovering the psychic atmosphere...did anything really change? We seem the same, life goes on following the same coordinates, the landscape is just like any other landscape in the dead of the Canadian winter.

The Moon in Scorpio forms a supportive, 60-degree alliance with the Sun in Capricorn at 3:32AM PST, but this positive rapport of the two lights also begins a long Moon Void of Course uncertainty zone that lasts until 12:29AM PST tomorrow. Pallas making an inspirational, 72-degree contact with Vesta (8:32AM PST) seems to encourage investments and business plans, but the void condition of the Moon is unsettling rather than reassuring. Shall we do it or rather wait? I'd say wait.
Shortly after, four discordant aspects enters the scene. Mercury makes an off-kilter, 150-degree (remember the Quincunx? An aspect that will enter the scene more and more continuing to point us towards understanding the fateful aspect of our times) link with Vesta while giant Jupiter makes the same kind of off-kilter, 150-degree (Oh, boy,another Quincunx) tie with Juno. Before you can catch your breath, the red planet Mars is on the warpath again as it tries to bully Saturn via a square aspect. And with the void |Moon paralell to Mars.....we will end the work day more frustrated than we started.
This is no simple matter, surviving a series of challenging aspects in a short 4 hours span, but we can do it. Just remember that withdrawing from potentially volatile situations and angry people is the wise thing to do. And so is, postponing just for a little bit (maybe 20 hours) business decisions.
But fear not, this week starts with a bang but it will get much better as it unfolds.
The stars bring a pleasant shift to your mood on January 9 once Venus moves into Capricorn. Cool sophistication will rule, while climbing the social ladder will become of utmost importance. The Capricorn vibes enhance the astro atmosphere once again, when the new Moon rises in this diligent sign on January 11.
